BIG SNOW

Sorry to barrage you with all the recent posts, but this is important in a big way.

I know, coming from the Northeastern US, you could hardly consider this a really big snowstorm, as it's the familiar sloppy mess we usually get just about every week in wintertime; however, for London, this type of thing hasn't happened for about 20 years. Usually it only snows less than an inch and then turns to rain and melts, but for the past 24 hours, it has been snowing pretty much nonstop, and if it had stayed below freezing there would have been buckets of it. At the high point, which was early this morning, there was about 4-5 inches of fluffy white powder. Now it has gone mostly to slush on the sidewalks and streets, but it's still fun to look at. It reminds me a bit of home.

Bizarre Blizzard

Today, on the 28th of October 2008, there was a small burst of moderate snowfall in London. Yes you heard it here first folks (or on Kahran's Blog, one or the other). It accumulated for a while, and some people in the hall were playing outside in it, but now it has since melted and turned back into rain. Damn you London.

Yep, It's snow alright.
